One of my favorite features on Studio G is Rochelle’s new series, “Can you make this into a garden?” She takes a fashion sketch, interprets the color and textural story and then builds a plant list plus garden accessories around it.
I LOVE this week’s solution for the Avant-Chartreuse Garden Party. You’ve got to click over and see her idea come to life!
You can check out her other ideas here, here and here!
I think Rochelle is offering us some great tips and an adventurous exercise in inspiration — look around and notice the things you love… your favorite outfit, your favorite foods, your favorite piece of furniture, even your favorite people. What would they look like if they were plants, pots, pillows, bird feeders, whatever. So many times, the irony of being a beginning gardener means you don’t know where to begin or don’t know where to begin editing in your garden. But, if you can find an inspirational model to follow in a medium that already feels comfortable for you (clothing, home decor, fine art, etc.), you’ll be able to step forward and build on your other experiences with confidence and success.

I love this, Alexa! Thanks for showing us this awesome series - Rochelle’s RSS feed doesn’t work for me with Bloglines, so I forget to check her site out.
