Round Here

Two more from Saturday’s adventures.

Day Two of Rain: The wetness is so welcome, but it makes me long for real lushness. Here, there are so few trees and bushes or gardens that glisten in the rain. Maybe it’s different in some of the neighborhoods in Old Town. (I live in the South Town area, very suburban looking. New trees, new thrown-together homes.) Maybe it’ll be different when I’m settled into my own home and I can build my own “fleshy” backyard and tear up the front lawn for non-turf landscaping.

Recommended Listening: “Juicy Ass” — Home; “Black Magic” — Jarvis Cocker

You only get to see the light / just one time in your life / oh, BLACK MAGIC / that blows your mind away

Very nice (the subject too, clever). The color palettes and diagonal perspective (on purpuse?) of both go smoothly together. The minute details of your framing, focus, and post processing are improving nicely. :)

Damn! I spelled purpose wrong and I can’t edit my comment. Haha.

    Thanks for the compliments, Justin.
Of course, on purpose. You taught me to be the right mix of intuitive and careful/technical. Now I’m just having more success with it, I think.
    A great subject helps!
