Pure Seed

I did not ask for a larger garden, but for finer seeds. - Russell H. Conwell

Today, we’re kicking off a weeklong series of posts about the Colorado Seed Lab, a seed analysis center located at the Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. Today’s posts are designed to be background. I want you to have a good understanding of the who and where before we dive into the what, how, why (and a little when) later this week. Stay tuned for two more posts today:

  • 9am (Mountain): Fast Facts about the Colorado Seed Lab
  • Noon: What services, generally, does the Seed Lab provide its customers and, ultimately, its customers’ customers (seed consumers like you and me)?
  • 2pm: Certified Seed explained

As the posts unfold, if you have questions for me or for Ethan Waltermire, a Certified Seed Analyst and the Manager of the Seed Lab, post them here. We may cover that ground later this week, but if you’ve got questions, we want to help you answer them.
