I don’t know about perching on this adorable bench eating curds and whey, but I think it will do the trick for those of us who like to have some place special to sit when we slip on our garden clogs or pry off our boots.
I’d love to put Anthropologie’s Jacoby Bench in our entranceway or down at the foot of the bed. It feels Anglo-Indian to me, the perfect mix of earthy and formal. Which I think is a really nice change in trends from all the 50s modern stuff that is sometimes rather austere and officially overdone. Yet, it’s also a more sophisticated alternative or evolution from the Kashmiri-Moroccan Boho-hippee crap that’s been polluting storefronts and home decór catalogs for awhile. Ahem.
