Maternity Leave & Blessings

I’ve been reluctant to admit it, but I need to leave Invisible Bees behind for a few weeks (perhaps even a few months) as I prepare to welcome our new (first) baby into the world. My due date is December 18 (hey, maybe I can convince my husband to give her the middle name of Amaryllis) and I’ve had my hands full with my day job, reading baby books, organizing the nursery, planning and freezing meals, drs. appointments, birth classes with our doula, and of course — resting. Invisible Bees has become a luxury I think about, but cannot commit to during this large life transition. (If you’ve seen my belly, you’d know just how large…) While I may post a photo here and there, I expect the site will be inactive until late Winter/early Spring.

Thank you all for being a part of my life and Invisible Bees this year. If you’d like to check in with me and hear baby news/see baby pictures once she arrives, I am still blogging over at our family website, Keeping Up with the Johnsons. In the meantime, know that I look forward to reconnecting with you all and the gardening community in late winter/early Spring.

May you experience great joy with your families and loved ones this holiday season, and revel in the quiet grace of winter’s gardening dreams and pastimes.
