Ryan and I took el Stinko (aka Miss Annie) for a walk in Old Town yesterday afternoon. I brought along the camera. It was THE PERFECT FALL DAY. Grey and overcast, crisp, misty, low light, colors colors everywhere.

City Park is one of my favorite places in Fort Collins. I think it’s probably because it’s the one place in town where I feel like I’m not a bug or a speck of dust on the wide open prairie. Plenty of mature trees, a few hills, open space dotted with dogs and frisbees and blankets and happy squealing kids, the water always busy with ducks and fisherman, or in the winter, folks playing broom hockey on the ice. Our walk yesterday was just what I needed to reconnect with this place and stop missing the leaves and the water and the quaint little towns back East.

Beautiful photos!!!
Both of these remind me of Highland Park in Rochester. I miss that and Mt. Hope cemetery a lot.
I do, too, Justin. There was always so much to see, to absorb, to be with in such small spaces.
Fern, thanks for stopping by again!
