Apishapa, 1

Ryan and I traveled south for Memorial Day weekend. We camped with Ryan’s good friends and the terminally hospitable Guthel/Waltermire clan. The land (and the sky) there is amazing. Nearly untouched by our feeble and greedy hands. Plains, prairies, wildflowers, canyons, cliffs, sandstone, streams and pools, thunderheads, petroglyphs, cacti… it was an amazing place to live for a few days. Amidst great company.

In some ways, it seems ridiculous to be blogging about Apishapa. It’s the kind of place where none of this matters. It’s that wonderful.

Thank you, Ethan. For sharing so much with me. …Including you know who.
